A feather in the cap of Ford Australia overnight with news from Britain the Ranger has won the ‘International Pick-Up Award 2013’.
Ranger was designed and engineered for the global market by Ford Australia and was the first pick-up to be awarded the maximum five-star safety rating by EuroNCAP.
After back-to-back testing at the Millbrook Proving Ground, every judge in the International Pick-Up Award panel listed the Ford ranger as their number one pick.
In fact, the Ford ranger scored so many points (47) its score was better than the combined total of second-placed Isuzu D-Max and the Volkswagen Amarok which was third.
Announcing the award, Irish judge Jarlath Sweeney said: “The Ford ranger is a great all-rounder, combining the perfect blend of on-raod comfort and stability with off-road capability.”
