FPV Launches its Latest Model - The Stylish F6 E
Both based on the FG Falcon, the two luxury variants have certainly broadened the repertoire of Ford's performance offshoot. The F6 E carries the same sticker price as the GT E - $79,740.
Equipment levels are extensive.
Inside are nice leather-trimmed sports seats, a sports leather-wrapped steering wheel, height-adjustable pedals with alloy facings and dark woodgrain trim. F6 E also gains a reversing camera, cruise control, dual-zone climate control air-conditioning and stylish FPV logos.
Five spoke 19-inch alloy wheels reveal massive 355 x 32mm and 330 x 28mm Brembo brakes. F6 E is distinguished black front grilles, the trademark FPV body-coloured headlight surrounds and FPV badging.
Under the bonnet is FPV's punchy turbocharged version of the 4.0-litre in-line six cylinder engine. With 310kW/565Nm it's a serious high performance powerplant that drives the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission aided by standard stability and traction control.
According to FPV, customers for the F6 E will probably be corporate types who want luxury with performance…without the audacious looks of the GT and GT-P models.
