Holden Insignia VXR – It’s Back

Where once there was an Opel from Germany, now there is a Holden from Germany – never mind it’s the sporty Insignia VXR.

The mid-size 2.8-litre turbo offers 239kW435Nm, drives through an all-wheel-drive chassis and comes with lots of technology – including some newcomers for Holden in the form of Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Change Alert and Auto Emergency Braking.

Priced at $51,990, the Holden Insignia VXR is comprehensively equipped with features including 20-inch alloy wheels, heated and leather-trimmed Recaro sports seats, satellite navigation, FlexRide suspension with Adaptive Stability Technology, adaptive forward lighting with Bi-xenon headlights and LED DRLs, rear cross traffic alert and blind spot alert.

As it pulls-out of local manufacturing, Holden is launching 24 new models and 36 powertrains sourced from GM plants around the world. The Insignia VXR is among one-third which will come from Europe.
