Holden fans will get another chance to preview the all-new Malibu mid-size sedan when it debuts in Chevrolet form at next month’s Frankfurt Motor Show in Germany.
General Motors says the European specification for the Malibu includes a 2.0-litre petrol engine with 123kW, a 2.4-litre diesel good for 127kW, Xenon or HID headlights, LED tail-lights, stability control and eight airbags.
Car Showroom has seen the Malibu testing on Melbourne roads and we can confirm its status as a large mid-sizer to rival the dimensions of Ford’s Mondeo – GM says its wheelbase is 2,737mm and track measures 1,577mm.
Inside, the Chevrolet version of the Malibu runs soft ambient lighting and stylish metallic-look trim finishes.
