Holden has just revealed a special edition of both the Trailblazer SUV and Colorado dual cab pickup dubbed Storm, priced from $54,990 and $53,990 respectively.
Starting with the Trailblazer Storm which starts out in life as a mid-range LTZ but is then taken away and has $3,400 worth of extras added to it, claims the brand. However, the Storm is only $2,000 dearer than its LTZ base.
It’s pretty much the same story for the $53,990 Colorado Storm. The marque gets hold of an LTZ variant and equips $4,800 worth of additional kit on-board. Just like the Trailblazer, the Storm is only $2,000 more expensive than the truck on which it’s based.
But what does the additional $2,000 get you? For starters, both get an LED light bar mounted on the newly added black nudge bar and Storm badging. The Colorado gets a black sports bar, roof rails, a bonnet protector, a soft-drop tailgate and Storm decals on the side.
The Trailblazer SUV gets a body-coloured rear spoiler, a sportier diffuser, Storm badging on the front doors and Trailblazer bonnet lettering. Additionally, both special edition cars will receive Holden’s 5-year unlimited mileage warranty and 7-years free scheduled servicing. However, it’s only applicable to Colorado and Trailblazer Storm special editions ordered before 31st December 2019.
Under the bonnet, both models share the same a 2.8-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel that produces 147kW and 500Nm. The powerplant is mated to a six-speed automatic that channels power to the road via a four-wheel drive system.
