Holden has re-opened the door to Europe, closed when it pulled the plug on the German Opel brand in Australia to re-launch the Astra and Insignia models as well as introducing the Cascada convertible.
The new models, Astra GTC and VXR (three-door hatchbacks), high-performance Insignia VXR sedan and the convertible Cascada will be launched in the first half of next year.
Of particular appeal will be the Insignia VXR which Holden says will come with a turbocharged 2.8-litre V6 engine and all-wheel-drive.
The Astra VXR will be powered by the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine while the Astra GTC and Cascada will use a turbocharged1.6-litre powerplant.
