Good news for Holden with two upcoming models the Malibu mid-size sedan and Volt electric vehicle both being awarded the maximum five-star safety rating after EuroNCAP barrier testing.
The Chevrolet-badged versions of the GM Malibu and Volt are both equipped with impressive safety inclusions – the Malibu with six airbags and the Volt with eight.
“The results confirm that both vehicles meet today’s highest safety standards. The Volt’s safety performance and propulsion concept highlight the reliability and practicality that is inherent to this outstanding design,” revealed Chevrolet Europe marketing boss Wayne Brannon.
GM says the ‘Malibu’ nameplate – while new to Australia and Europe – is the automotive industry’s longest-running mid-size nameplate, now spanning 35 years and eight model generations.
