Honda’s finding a good amount of success with its smaller vehicle tier, both locally and internationally. The City was a strong seller, and so was the Jazz. Now there’s the HR-V to gain the attention of the compact crossover buyers.
Now, though, the City and HR-V line-up expands with the addition of the Limited Edition variants for both models, which adds extra features and exterior bits at a price that, according to Honda, represents great value.
The City Limited Edition, which is based on the VTi-L (AT) grade, will cost $22,990 inclusive of metallic paint. It includes additions that Honda says are worth $4,000. These include the Modulo Sports Pack (front under spoiler, rear under spoiler, side skirt kit, rear wing spoiler), sports grille, and finally a Limited Edition badge.
For the HR-V, the LE adds a set of 17-inch alloys, side steps, rear parking sensors, front fog lamps, and yes, a Limited Edition badge. All these extras are said to be worth $3,200 on their own but now costs $1,500 over the VTi variant. The HR-V LE is available nationally for a drive-away price of $28,490.
Honda Australia Director, Stephen Collins, said: “Over the years, Honda’s Limited Edition models have provided a strong value proposition for customers cross-shopping against other brands. After strong customer interest and the success of this year’s CR-V Limited Edition, we’re now extending the offer across the City and popular HR-V.”
