Hyundai Genesis Sedan Confirmed For Australia

Hyundai Australia has confirmed overnight in Detroit that Australia will receive the second generation Hyundai Genesis.  The Hyundai Genesis will go on sale to Australian buyers from the end of July 2014.

Australian's will be able to to buy the rear wheel drive Hyundai Genesis powered by the award winning 248kW Lambda 3.8-litre V6 engine coupled to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Unfortunately we will miss out on both the AWD and the 5.0-litre V8 versions of the Hyundai Genesis.

The luxury flagship aims to to tackle the the German luxury brands head on.  Hyundai have said that the Genesis will arrive in Australia highly equipped and with segment-leading technology, comfort and safety features. Some of the luxury features include I-Driving Mode Integrated Control and four intelligent driving modes: Eco, Normal, Sport and Snow. Safety aids include new-generation Smart Cruise Control (SCC), Blind Spot Detection with Head-Up Display, Lane-Keeping Assist, Lane Departure Warning and more. Besides the luxury interior buyers will also gain a 9.2-inch high-definition touchscreen with audio, ventilation and satellite-navigation control.

As with the majority of cars Hyundai are bring down under it will undertake local suspension tuning program.
