A global report by Interbrand has named Hyundai as the world’s 50 Best Global Green Brands.
The Korean giant ranked fourth amongst the seven automotive brands in the Top 50.
Interbrand noted Hyundai’s Blue Drive eco-friendly technology and zero-emissions hybdrogen fuel-cell development.
With Lpi hybrid versions of the Hyundai Elantra and i45 already on-sale in Korea, Hyundai is also running test fleets of both hydrogen fuel-sell electric vehicles and pure electric vehicles under its umbrella strategy called ‘BlueOn’.
The Interbrand survey questioned more than 10,000 people in 10 countries on company’s environmental credentials.
