Simultaneously, Ford has released fuel consumption figures of the new, last-ever Territory which also show impressive improvements.
Again, adoption of the lightweight ZF 6HP21 six-speed automatic transmission is the key in Ford Territory’s enhanced fuel consumption (the 6R80 six-speeder carries-over for turbo-diesel models).
The result sees the 195kW/391Nm six-cylinder petrol-powered Ford Territory delivers a 3.9 per-cent improvement in consumption for TX models (down to 10.2l/100kms) while TS and Titanium models improve by 1.0 per-cent to 10.5l/100kms.
Ford Australia has sold more than 155,000 Territory SUVs since the model first appeared in 2004.
