Although not for our temperate climate, Jaguar customers in selected markets will be able to order all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions of the superb XF and XJ sedan models from next year.
As we saw from the London Olympic Games, England hasn’t exactly had a blistering summer and, despite winter looming, the Brits miss-out on the AWD Jaguars which are destined for Continental Europe, North American, China and Russia. In fact North America will account for three-quarters of the AWD Jags which employ the supercharged 3.0-litre V6 petrol engine.
Jaguar says the AWD models are an example of how not just new models but powertrain enhancements and new technologies continue to boost the reinvigorated iconic British brand.
