Seems Audi’s sensational RS6 Avant might have some competition coming – a 410kW/680Nm ripper from Jaguar in fact.
Set to debut next week at the Geneva Motor Show, Jaguar’s XFR-S Sportbrake looks an absolute stunner. Well the XFR-S sedan looks a cracker and Jaguar designers have simple added an elegant wagon rear-end and along way provided almost 5.0cms of extra headroom for those seated in the rear.
As well as that wagon rear, the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake runs a black mesh grille, lots of black highlights for the grille surround, windows, hatchback and cooling ducts (unique front fascia with extra ducts), side skirts, a roof spoiler and carbon-fibre rear diffuser.
Of course, inside the Sportbrake version reflects the Jaguar XFR-S sedan with those wonderful new-design sports seats and lots of cark alloy and carbon fibre to ramp-up the sports/technology look.
Underneath, the Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake sports a few mods over the sedan – re-tuning for the active rear suspension, thicker anti-roll bars and bigger brakes for starters.
Of course both sedan and Sportbrake share the stupendous supercharged V8 heart.
Oh, yes, we’ll have one of these ASAP please.
