Kia’s talented European styling team showed their cute side with the funky POP concept electric car which debuted at the Paris Motor Show.

Power for the funky POP comes from a 50kW/190Nm zero-emissions electric motor which can be re-charged in six hours and provides a top speed of 140km/h and a range of 160kms.

But it’s the styling of the POP which again stamps Kia as one of the world’s most progressive automotive brands.
From the radical side windows, back-lit grille and dot-pattern lights, the funky POP is both unconventional and stylish.

Inside the unconventional continues with a front bench seat for two people and a single rear seat which flips away when not in use is offset for greater legroom and features a headrest integrated into the headlining. Instruments are displayed on a clear plexi-glass screen which is transparent when not in use.

And the view behind is displayed from cameras mounted in each door.

“A concept car like the POP could only have come from Kia,” explained Kia Europe’s Chief Designer, Gregory Guillaume. “Designers very rarely have the opportunity to start from a clean sheet of paper and it’s great to be in a position to operate with such freedom.”
