The latest single barrier test by Australia’s ANCAP has delivered a ‘best-ever’ safety People Mover safety score for the new Kia Rondo.
Kia’s seven-seater recorded 36.2 out of a possible 37 to garner the maximum five-star rating and set a new benchmark score for people movers.
With the exception of the large Carnival (four stars) all Kia products sold in Australia carry the maximum five-star rating and Kia reckons the all-new Carnival (due late next year) will score five-stars making it a clean sweep for the Korean giant.
“We make no secret of the fact we are aiming for five-star safety across the Kia range. We have made the commitment that all new Kia models in Australia will have the five-star rating and with the Rondo we continue to honour that commitment,” explained Kia Australia chief Tony Barlow.
