And it’ll relieve you of $390k for the pleasure.
Lamborghini’s new sales darling, the Urus SUV, is set to grace our shores before the end of the year, and bring that uniquely Sant’Agata flair across new terrains for the brand. With its imposing styling, relatively generous accommodations (for a Lamborghini) and the promise of decent off-road capability (more than you’ll ever need, certainly), the Urus is set to carry a sticker price of $390,000 before on-road costs.
Under that sculpted bonnet you’ll find a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol mill, putting out an impressive 478kW and 850Nm, with power going to all-four wheels through an active torque-vectoring system (a necessity really, with all that grunt) after having been fed through an 8-speed automatic gearbox. 100km/h is achieved from a standstill is just 3.6-seconds, while 200km/h is achieved in a total of 12.8-seconds. And if you’re really brave, the Urus will max out at 305km/h.
Thankfully, the Urus comes with shedloads of standard kit for the money you’ll be shelling out. You’ll be pleased to know that rear-wheel steering will be fitted as standard, as will be the Tamburo drive-mode selector replete with four standard options: Strada (street), Sport, Corsa, and Neve (snow). An eight-speaker audio system is also offered as standard, along with smartphone mirroring, autonomous emergency braking (AEB), intelligent high-beam and all-round parking sensors.
If you want more from your Urus, you can option on two extra driving modes for better off-road capability (like you’ll ever need it), LED headlights, digital drivers’ display, adaptive dampers with active roll stabilisation, and a dual-screen infotainment system.
You’ll find heated and 12-way powered front seats in the Urus as standard, with the cabin trimmed in single-tone leather. You can option dual-tone leather, and/or 18-way adjustable heated and ventilated front seats as well, should you so want to. What is standard is the 616L of space behind the rear seats, which can be expanded to 1596L should you need more room.
If you want to spend even more on your Urus, you can go through the rest of the options list where you’ll find an enormous variety of paint finishes, cabin colours, and trim options, as well as a 360º camera system, and a handsfree electric tailgate (though a manually-triggered electric tailgate is standard).
