Lexus has as drawn a line in the sand by announcing a $64,800 starting price for its V6-powered IS 350 model which first appeared in Sydney.
That certainly looks sharp when compared with similarly equipped rivals like the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class.
Lexus wheels-out its all-new model in two weeks. It certainly looks the business and the 233kW, 3.5-litre V6 powerplant should command attention.
Lexus IS 350 will be launched in three model grades – Prestige, F Sport and Sports Luxury.
Lexus Australia chief Tony Cramb was all smiles when he confirmed the IS 350 starting price at the Motor Show.
“IS 350 pricing is not apologetic. It’s realistic and supports our long-held belief that luxury vehicles shouldn’t be priced highly just because they can be,” Mr Cramb said. “We are certain that IS 350 will be an extremely popular choice amongst buyers for its high levels of specification and power, engaging drive and its class-leading price.”
