Some updates for Mitsubishi’s iconic Lancer Evolution but fortunately no changes the price stickers.
The latest ‘Evo’ still starts at $56,990 for the five-speed manual version and the track day-ready Evolution MR retains its $65,990 tag.
No changes under the bonnet – why would you? He turbo 2.0-litre with 217kW at 6500rpm and 366Nm at 3500rpm is a proven performer.
But the standard Evo does pick-up a 6.1-inch multi-function screen, reversing camera and upgraded audio.
For $3,000 you can add the ‘Performance Pack’ which brings 18-inch BBS alloy wheels, Eibach springs, Bilstein dampers and Brembo front brakes.
The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR is a Car Showroom favourite and is still dollar-for-dollar one of the best performance buys on the market. The ‘Performance Pack’ is standard fit along with Recaro seats, Rockford Fosgate audio, a 7.0-inch screen with integrated satellite navigation and some visual enhancements.
Boy Racers your nearest Mitsubishi dealer awaits (and we can’t wait until a test car finds its way to the Car Showroom garage!).
