The carnival is over for Mitsubishi’s acclaimed high-performance Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution with the ‘Final Edition’ model announced.
Sadly for fans of Japanese street racers only 150 of the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution Final Edition have been earmarked for Australia.
Grunt is up for the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine – thanks to better cooling and sodium-filled exhaust valves – with 226kE at 6500rpmm and peak torque of 414Nm at 3500rpm.
He transmission remains a five-speed manual.
Underneath is Mitsubishi’s Super All-Wheel Control (S-AWC) all-wheel-drive system, front Brembo brakes, Bilstein struts and Eibach springs.
On the inside are partial leather Recaro sports seats and a colour multi-information display which features a ‘Final Edition’ greeting on start-up.
Unique for the Final Edition model are a leather steering wheel, park brake and gear lever with red stitching, black headlining, black pillars and aleather look console with red stitching and Final Edition carpet mats.
The Final Edition model is distinguished externally by new 18-inhc BBS alloy wheels in satin platinum, gloss black bonnet air ducts, the radiator grille is dark chrome and an available two-tone paint scheme with a black roof.
Australian cars will have an individual serial plate – AU0001 to AU0150.
