In Japan, Mitsubishi has announced it will supply a version of its Minicab-MiEV to Suzuki from next year.
The vehicle is a minicar-class light commercial van, powered by Mitsubishi’s electric drivetrain.
Sure to be popular with van operators in crowded cities, the product sharing is a ‘win-win’ for both companies as it delivers Suzuki a vehicle in a segment which racks-up big sales numbers in Japan and for Mitsubishi, further economies of scale which keep production costs down.
