Despite extensive extra features (around $2,000 worth) the 2102 Volvo C30 coupe has attracted only modest price rises and the sporty R-Design models have actually decreased by $960 compared to the current versions.

Across the C30 range Volvo has added rear park assist, upgraded audio with Blutooth streaming.

The new Lifestyle version adds 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats (with electric adjustment for the driver), active bending headlights with washers, rain-sensing wipers, a rear-seat centre arm-rest and a hard load cover for the luggage compartment.

Volvo C30 R-Design has the additions of 18-inch alloy wheels and the usual R-Design sporty enhancements for the exterior and interior.

A Sports Chassis is a $800 option and brings stiffer springs, dampers and anti-roll bars and re-calibrated (quicker) power steering.

Under the bonnet, the Volvo C30 DRIVe is powered by Volvo’s fuel-sipping 1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbo-diesel with 84kW/270Nm and combined cycle fuel consumption of just 3.9l/100kms and C02 emissions of 104g/km. Other C30 models feature Volvo’s rapid 2.5-litre, turbocharged five-cylinder good for 169kW/320Nm.
