Flexing the global muscles of its parent company, Hyundai Australia has boosted its handy ix35 crossover lineup with the addition of the $29,990 SE model which comes from Hyundai Europe.
The Australian market Hyundai ix35 SE is produced in the Czech-Republic and comes loaded with features which were not previously available for Korean-made ix35s.
Based on the ‘Active’ 2WD ix35, the SE model employs Hyundai’s 122kW Theta II 2.0-litre petrol engine driving through a six-speed automatic transmission.
On the outside, the European Hyundai ix35 SE is distinguished by a unique front bumper with set-in fog lights, projector headlights with dusk sensors, 17-inch alloy wheels and solar control glass with rear privacy tint.
Inside is leather/leatherette for the seats, steering wheel and gear lever while both front and in winter both front and rear seat occupants will enjoy heated seats. Audi sees a six-speaker system with 5ive-inch touch-screen and all the usual connectivity.
