With fresher looks front and rear plus more technology, the new Lexus LX570 SUV goes on-sale in the second quarter of this year.
On the outside, Lexus’ eight-seat SUV scores new headlights with LED DRLS, there are new fog-light bezels, new bumpers, new-design 20-inch alloy wheels and the new Lexus family spindle grille.
Inside, the driver’s seat gets an ‘Easy Access’ system (seat and steering wheel automatically retract when the engine is turned-off), there’s a new instrument panel, new metallic and mahogany woodgrain/ivory-black trims, dual rear seat entertainment screens and steering wheel paddle shifters for the six-speed automatic transmission.
Lexus has added to the number of external cameras affording LX570 drivers even greater confidence in tight maneuvers.
No changes under the bonnet with Lexus’ 270kW/530Nm 5.7-litre V8 ideally suited for those who tow heavy trailers with 90 per cent of maximum torque available from 2200rpm.
New for 2012, Lexus LX570 gains an updated off-road ‘Crawl Control’ system with five steps instead of three and a new ‘Turn Assist’ system which brakes the inside rear wheel for tighter cornering.
Lexus Australia will announced full local specifications and prices closer to launch.
