In what could be a pointer to the all-new Nissan Pulsar, the Japanese giant has confirmed an all-new B-segment car called ‘Invitation’ will be manufactured at its Sunderland plant in North England.
Technically a concept at this stage, Nissan has confirmed the good-looking hatch will commence production next year. Currently Nissan Australia imports its Dualis compact SUV from the British plant.
Production of the new hatchback is expected to top 100,000 units per year, cementing the Sunderland plant as England’s highest-volume auto assembly facility.
