Nissan has delivered a facelifted version of its slick Murano mid-size SUV with handy extra kit and only modest price rises.
Scheduled for local launch in September, the new Nissan Murano is identified outside by numerous styling changes. At the front, there’s a new grille, bumper and headlights, the rear gains new-design tail-lights, plus there is a new roof rail design, new 18-inch alloy wheels and rear privacy glass.
The entry-level Nissan Murano ST also gains fog lights as standard.
On the inside, the Nissan Murano ST scores heated front seats, the safety of a standard reversing camera and a Bose audio system with a 2gb HDD and seven-inch colour screen.
Nissan Murano Ti goes further, gaining a 9gb HDD audio system with USB/iPod connectivity and Nissan’s latest satellite navigation system.
Both ST and Ti models score automatic rain-sensing windscreen wipers.
No changes under the bonnet – Nissan Murano is powered by Nissan’s silky 3.5-litre v6 petrol engine with 191kW/336Nm driving through the Xtronic continuously variable transmission (CVT). Fuel consumption is rated at 10.9l/100kms.
The new Nissan Murano is priced at $47,990 for the ST model and $58,390 for the range-topping Ti (previously $46,490 and $57,890).
