‘Attention Honda Australia’: We know the North American Odyssey is a different model family to the one we get here, but let’s face it families are messy.
‘Tah-Dah’ – the all-new Honda Odyssey launched a few days ago at the New York International Auto Show is the first car ever to include a full-integrated vacuum cleaner.
A co-development between Honda and North American specialist company ‘Shop-Vac’, the ‘HondaVac’ is situated in the rear of the all-new Honda Odyssey and can reach every corner of Honda’s top-selling people-mover.
Power comes from the Odyssey’s battery and the HondaVac can run for eight minutes (or indefinitely if you turn-on the engine to keep the battery charged.
The HondaVac will be fitted to the range-topping ‘Touring Elite’ version of the North American Honda Odyssey (2014 model).
So while the sports cars and concepts stole the show for the automotive media in New York, the Honda Odyssey with in-built ‘HondaVac’ had a new group of people buzzing – that would be families who actually buy new cars.
