It’s like a 208 & 3008 had a lovechild.
After a rather extensive leak, it seems that French marque Peugeot arrived at the decision to let it all out, and so they’ve fully unveiled the all-new 2008 compact-SUV in its entirety, which not only included the BlueHDi diesel and Puretech petrols, but also the e-2008 that runs entirely on electricity. It sure is a brave new world.

As mentioned, the 2008 is available with the same three 1.2-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol Puretech engines (between 56kW and 96kW) and a sole BlueHDi diesel (76kW), with transmission options ranging from a 6-speed manual to an 8-speed auto.
But the highlight is the e-2008, with its 50kWh battery, 310km range, and 101kW output. And thanks to 100kW rapid-charging capabilities, you can top up the e-2008’s battery from 0-80% range in just 30-minutes too. Best of all, the e-2008’s batteries are stored under the boot floor, meaning no reduction in the 360L of cargo space by going zero-emissions.
With the new 2008 comes a raft of advanced driver assistance features like Drive Assist, which bundles things like lane-keep assist, departure warning, and intelligent cruise control with traffic-jam functionality. You can also get things like AEB, autonomous parking, active lane keep assist, driver-drowsiness alert, automatic high-beams, blind-spot monitoring, and an electric parking brake. And all of this is available in a cabin that features Peugeot’s signature i-Cockpit architecture, with a small steering wheel sitting below a digital, high-mounted instrument cluster, and a minimalist dashboard featuring a large central touchscreen.
You can also get a 10-speaker Focal audio system which, we’re made to believe, is absolutely excellent in this small crossover.
