The Pirelli Calendar is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, what started off as marketing exercise back in 1964 has gone on to be almost bigger than Pirelli itself.
To celebrate this anniversary, Pirelli has decided not to produce a 2014 Calendar! Instead it will release a unpublished calendar from 1986 Pirelli Calendar by photographer Helmut Newton, which has been kept in the company’s archives.
For those who are travelling to Italy they can visit Pirelli’s contemporary art venue, HangarBicocca. It allows visitors to explore 50 years of “The Cal”™, in more than 160 images by more than 30 photographers who have worked on the Calendar over the years.
However if you can't afford a trip to Italy you can watch the video instead!
