Underlining its superb value proposition, Proton has announced a number of price reductions across its model range.
The S16 sedan, already Australia’s lowest priced sedan, starting at $11,990 for the G model manual, now adds a GX model ($12,990 for the manual and $14,990 for the automatic). GX auto models gain 14-inch alloy wheels, reverse sensors, front fog lights and electric mirrors.
Proton Satria Neo GXR drops by $1,000 to $16,990, Persona G manual is now $15,990 and Persona GX manual is $17,490. For an automatic transmission, just add $2,000.
Gen.2 G manual drops to $16,990 and the Gen.2 GXR with leather, dual side SRS airbags and front fog lights, drops by $1,000 to $19,990. Again, add $2,000 for the automatic price.
Savvy and Jumbuck models are now in run-out and will no longer be imported to Australia. That’s a bit sad as the Jumbuck has been the only small car-based ute on the market since Subaru axed the Bumby and at $14,990, it’s a good workhorse buy.
All of this is remarkable value, especially with Proton’s 3-year warranty and 24-hour roadside assistance.
Slated for introduction later this year are Proton’s first people mover and a hot Lotus Racing Satria Neo R3.
