Renault has shown its version of autonomous driving with the Next Two electric vehicle.
According to Renault CEO Carlos Ghosn, the French giant wants to be at the forefront of the emerging trend towards ‘delegated driving and connectivity.
So the Renault Next Two – like other vehicles we’ve seen from the likes of Volvo – can drive itself in congested traffic on main roads (at speeds up to 30km/h) and, in car parks equipped for automated vehicles, can park itself (both finding a vacant spot and manoeuvring into it).
And with its open source connectivity system, occupants in the Renault Next Two can access 3G, $G, Wi-Fi and the rest - so while the car is driving itself, you can remain productive.
