Renault is due to unveil a new Sports Car concept later this year that is purported to debut the brand’s new design language going forward.
In addition, the French automaker says that it will be the first in a series of new concept vehicles (at least five) to push the company forward and capture the imagination of a new generation of fans and enthusiasts.
Not long ago, Renault did undergo a company-wide design change that effected all its vehicles, a fresh visual approach that stemmed from Renault’s DeZir concept from 2010 – pictured here.
Much like the two-door DeZir coupe concept, Laurens van den Acker said to Autonews, that the forthcoming concepts will “not be very practical”, which to our ears only means one thing: they’ll be gorgeous.
But one thing that isn’t likely to change is the brand’s single visor-like face that, again like the DeZir, has found its way (though, less prominently) onto the Megane and Clio, for example. Van den Acker continued, “"It took us so long to find a face. I’m not sure we could go through the agony again.”
