Britain’s high-circulation What Car? magazine has handed-out its Car Of The Year Awards in London and Volkswagen’s game-changing Up! micro hatchback was the big winner garnering the Car Of The Year 2012 and Best City Car awards.
Volkswagen Golf won the small car category for the sixth time (four in a row).
What Car? named the Mercedes-Benz S-Class as the Best Luxury Car for the sixth consecutive year and the new Porsche 911 won the Performance Car Of The Year.
Jaguar’s superb C-X16 was voted as the car most desired to enter production in 2012.
And Kia scored a special Ultra Low Carbon Award for launching cars over the last 12 months with the lowest C02 emissions. Special mention went to Kia Rio with its C02 emissions rated at just 85g/km making it the cleanest non-electric vehicle on the market.
