RS 4 Avant Nogaro Celebrates 20 Years Of Audi’s ‘Super Wagons’
Audi will be in celebratory mode at next month’s Geneva Motor Show when it unveils the RS 4 Avant Nogaro selection to commemorate 20 years since the debut of the ground-breaking Avant RS2.
‘Nogaro’ is the paint colour and also the French race circuit where Audi’s Frank Biela (who has raced here at Bathurst) scored two victories in the 1993 French Touring Car Championship.
The Audi RS 4 Avant Nogaro runs the glorious 4.2-litre FSI naturally-aspirated V8 engine, good for 331kW/430Nm and zero to 100km/h in just 4.7 seconds.
Drive is via a seven-speed S tronic transmission and of course, Audi’s Quattro all-wheel-drive system.
There’s the usual RS visual enhancements on the outside (including massive 20-inch alloy wheels and red-painted RS brake calipers and inside is the usual RS sports additions but with highlights in Nogaro Blue.
At this stage right-hand-drive production has not been confirmed.
