Surfing young gun Sally Fitzgibbons has become a brand ambassador for Land Rover Australia.
The deal sees Sally driving a 2014 Land Rover Discovery with 7 seats.
Sally Fitzgibbons said of the partnership, “I am incredibly excited to become a Land Rover ambassador and I share the brand’s passion for performance. I will be driving my Land Rover Discovery to some of Australia’s best surfing spots, and it will be a partner in my quest to become the world’s number one female surfer.”
Michael Winkler, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Australia said, “Land Rover is proud to partner such an inspiring young Australian, whose talent and drive has placed her on the world surfing stage. Sally’s achievements are a great reflection of the kind of spirit that is at the heart of our brand, and we are delighted to welcome her to the Land Rover team”
Sally Fitzgibbons has been a surfing champion since her teens. At 14 years of age, she was the youngest ever surfer to win the ASP Pro Junior event, and she continued to set records through her junior years. At 16, she won her first ISA U18 World Title and backed it up the following year winning both the Billabong ASP U21 World Title and the ISA World Games Open Title.
Land Rover has signed up Sally just in time as she is tipped to be a genuine World Title contender this year, having already been a runner-up in 2010, 2011 and 2012.
