And Jaguar is continuing to ‘drip-feed’ information about its all-new sedan.
Today comes news the Jaguar XE will provide breakthrough levels of aluminium – the monocoque , modular chassis architecture boasting 75 per-cent aluminium.
Using a newly-invented grade of aluminium called RC5745, the Jaguar XE will be a lightweight, enabling fuel consumption tipped to be less than 4.0l/100kms – making it the most fuel-efficient Jaguar so far.
Jaguar XJ, XK and F-Type all employ extensive aluminium and the XE debuts the fifth generation of Jaguar’s bonded and riveted technology.
The XE will roll-off a brand-new purpose-built production facility at Jaguar’s plant in Solihull, England.
