Shine bright… like the Pleiades?
As of April 1st 2017, Japanese carmaker Subaru will have to report to a renamed parent company. We suspect that they’ll be beaming with pride, as the parent company will now be known as ‘Subaru Corporation,’ affirming the company’s strength in its automotive arm. It was previously known as ‘Fuji Heavy Industries.’
This move signals the emphasis the corporation places on its automotive division, which has long been a source of pride for the company. CEO Yasuyuki Yoshinaga said that “in recent years, our effort has been expanded from making good products to delivering distinctive value which only Subaru can bring to our customers.
“This change in company name declares Subaru’s determination to thrive as a brand that delivers value. When customers are satisfied, we see happy faces. We want to encourage even more smiles, and create even more Subaru fans.”
Not limited only to Japan, the move to the ‘Subaru’ name and badge will see a rebranding of Subaru Corporation subsidiaries across the globe.
