Toyota hosted fans of its 86 sports car in Sydney last weekend at the ‘Festival Of 86’ and used the occasion to announce a one-make racing series for its iconic rear-drive sports car.
Toyota is still working on the details for the series which is planned to kick-off in 2016.
However local boss Tony Cramb indicated it will be a ‘Pro-Am’ format combining amateur and professional drivers (those with long memories may remember similar series for the Triumph TR7 and Alfasud).
It’s an exciting concept and we look forward to hearing the full details early next year.
