What do you get when you add more than $10,000 worth of technology and other goodies to the Toyota Prado GLX? The answer is the new Prado ‘Altitude’.

Priced at $68,490 (petrol) and $69,490 (diesel), the new Toyota Prado Altitude is great value as it adds just $5,000 despite the armada of extra kit.

Heading the additional equipment for the seven-seat Toyota Prado Altitude are leather trim, satellite navigation, seven-inch touch-screen display, nine-inch rear seat entertainment system. 14-speaker audio, tilt-and-slide moonroof, Optitron instruments, front parking sensors and rear privacy glass.

Family buyers will rejoice with the rear entertainment system (the nine-inch screen mounted in the roof) with a DVD player (controlled front and rear), 5.1-channel surround sound and three wireless headphones – just the ticket for long road trips.

Toyota Prado Altitude also comes with GXL model features like long-range (87-litre and 63-litre) fuel tanks, cruise control and three-zone climate control air-conditioning.

Look for the Prado Altitude in Toyota dealerships from next month.
