So limited in fact, it’s only in Japan.
For no obvious reason, Japanese automotive juggernaut Toyota has released a limited-edition run of its 86 sports car, this time finished in a unique colour with some tasty alloy wheels and other performance-focused add-ons. Dubbed the ‘British Green Edition,’ the special 86s will only be sold in Japan, and set you back ¥3,251,880 a pop should you so want one (or just under $41.5k).
The new edition, obviously, is finished in a gorgeous application of British Racing Green, set off by gold cast-aluminium alloys. Those alloys, aside from being lighter than the standard units, also provide enough internal clearance to house the upgraded Brembo brakes, with four-pot callipers at the front and two-pot units at the rear. There are also upgraded Sachs dampers (optional in Japan but standard on the British Green Edition), as well as other exterior flourishes like an aero-enhancing underbody cover and a black boot lip spoiler with green winglets on either end.
The cabin sees the use of a tan/black seat upholstery combination, wrapped in a leather/Alcantara mix. There’s also contrast stitching, which is black on tan bits and tan on black bits. There’s also black trim on the centre console that’s aimed to… make the cabin darker (?), while the standard-fit infotainment system has been deleted in this iteration.
There are no changes to the mechanicals under the skin, so there’s still a 152kW/212Nm naturally-aspirated flat-four under the bonnet, mated to either a 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic gearbox. Shame it’s not coming here eh?
