The Edmunds survey in North America has awarded Toyota’s Yaris compact car two awards for its low cost of ownership.
Yaris was judged number one for coupes under $US25,000 and sedans under $US15,000.
In securing these awards, the Yaris was studied for ownership costs over five years. The assessment included projected depreciation, financing, taxes, insurance premiums, fuel costs, maintenance and repairs.
Edmunds said the Yaris is frugal with petrol, offers an attractive interior and delivers a comfortable ride. It also scored Toyota’s compact for its wide variety of body styles and dependability
