Alfa Romeo has re-launched the sporty QV (Quadrifoglio Verde) model of the cute MiTo hatchback priced at $30,500 with new looks and extra features.
Of course Quadrifoglio Verde stands for the famed four-leaf clover which is historic badge given to all high-performance Alfa Romeo models.
Powered by a 125kW/250Nm version of Alfa Romeo’s 1.4-litre MultiAir turbocharged, four-cylinder petrol engine, the racy MiTo QV is good for zero to 100km/h in just 7.5 seconds yet scores combined-cycle fuel consumption of just 6.0l/100kms.
The updated model scores a rear spoiler and new-design 18-inch alloy wheels and is distinguished by a burnished finish for the headlight surrounds, front grille, door mirrors, door handles and tail-light surrounds.
Inside is anew flat-bottom, leather-wrapped steering wheel, ‘Competizione’ carbon-look dashboard and sports seats with unique QV fabric and contrasting white/green stitching.
There’s also Alfa Romeo’s five-inch touchscreen multimedia system.
Underneath are Brembo brakes with red-painted calipers and ‘Alfa Active Suspension’ (includes electronic shock absorber control).
