Upgraded Mazda2 Lineup On-Sale

New colours and interior upgrades highlight the facelifted Mazda2 lineup which has just arrived in Australia.

Currently, entry-level ‘Neo’ and ‘Maxx’ models score a combination of new-design wheels, new exterior trim and revised interiors including Piano Black highlights for the ‘Maxx’.

Range-tipping Mazda2 Genki gains its upgrades later in the year.

No changes to Mazda2’s drivetrain – the handy 76kW, 1.5-litre petrol engine which returns fuel consumption as low as 6.4l/100kms.

Coinciding with the specification changes, Mazda Australia has reverted to Japan as the country of origin for Mazda2 models sold ‘downunder’. The switch to Mazda’s main plant in Hiroshima required to free the Thailand facility to boost production of left-hand-drive models for other South-East-Asian markets.
