Vauxhall’s VXR8 sedan (a Holden Commodore to us) has taken out the Fleet World fuel economy marathon in Britain.
In the two-day event, the Vauxhall averaged 11.2l/100kms and had a best figure of 7.32l/100kms – admittedly driven by economy driving experts, but on a mixture of freeway, suburban and country roads.
This means a 53 per cent improvement between best and average consumption – and that’s what won the event for the 6.2-litre V8-powered Vauxhall.
