Ford Focus was the world’s best-selling individual model last year and for the first half of 2013, the reign of Ford’s slick small car has continued.
In fact Ford is the only brand to have two cars in the world top five with the smaller Focus the fourth best-selling model.
Focus sales during the first six months of this year are up by 20 per-cent to 589,709, driven mostly by massive growth in China (up by 137 per-cent to 202,830). In fact China accounts for one-third of the global total for Ford Focus.
Other Asian markets have followed the trend with Ford Focus sales in Indonesia up by 193 per-cent, 72 per-cent in the Philippines and Vietnam and by 42 per-cent in Thailand.
Ford Fiesta, the global number four best-seller racked-up sales in the first half of this year totaling 356,434 units.
Both of these excellent Ford vehicles are Car Showroom favourites in their respective segments.
