to early to tell yet

CarShowroom.com.au is about to embark on a 5,000 kilometer long-term review of the Hyundai ix35 Highlander diesel AWD SUV.

2015 HYUNDAI IX35 4D WAGON HIGHLANDER (AWD)

Our drive route will consist of freeway and inner city driving which will give us the opportunity to find out what real world fuel consumption would be like on daily 145km commute.

The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 135kW and 392Nm of power and is paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. Fuel consumption is a claimed 7.2L/100km (urban 9.2L/100km and extra 6.0L/100km).

The diesel engine in the Hyundai ix 35 commands a premium of $2,400 over the similarly spec’d petrol variant that uses an extra 2.6litres of fuel per 100kms.

Inside there is plenty of room for the family and with two car seats fitted an adult can still squeeze in to the middle rear seat.  Luggage space is also excellent with 730-litres of space with seats in place and this expands to 1579-litres with the seats down.

The standard bluetooth telephone and audio streaming, six-speaker audio, steering wheel audio controls, USB audio input with iPod compatibility and auxiliary audio input jack will all come in handy on daily 150km commute.
