We have had our Captiva since new and purchased ir in June 2013 We picked it up at night so really could not see it over until the next day when it was light. There were a few things that needed pushing in place inside the cabin..I tried my hardest to load cds in to the 6 stacker with no luck as it is a single cd only unlike what the salesman told us that it had a 6 stacker.Things have fallen off within the cabin area..I wanted the diesel but again was given incorrect information in regards to it needing a highway cycle every 3 months cos of the pollution filter. We ended up with the 3 litre V6.....OMG it guzzles fuel This motor uses more fuel that the carby V8 s that I have owned previously..I did a km to fuel used reading and it returned 65 kms travelled with a use of 1/4 tank of fuel (city cycle) and seriously think it is excessive....The car is going back to the dealer for a few days to be analysed..I have always found it to be needing fuel but never did a km check as my wife uses it also and just thought we must be doing the kms but no there is something that is not right here..I will give the dealer the opportunity to correct it but would never touch these cars again as this is evidently been wrong from the very beginning.the steering of this car is crap...to park in a normal carpark spot u need to reverse/forward it to get it in turning circle is lousy

The back seats are handy but when they are up you have not enough boot space the put a pram let alone shopping. Also only young children can actually fit in the back due to the small leg room. Petrol is terrible, only get about 450km a tank. I was rear ended after having the car for 2 weeks. It took Holden 2 months to supply parts The smash repairer said the delay is not uncommon and he had another car that was sitting there for 4 months, he further added the only reason I got my parts get this SO QUICKLY was because I complained . I drove a Kia for 2 months and it actually goes a lot faster than the captiva. The captive looks pretty, love the Bluetooth but that is pretty much standard in todays market it lacks a lot of features and the service and delays I have had to endure has prompted this feedback.

We looked for a 40k vehicle for the wife to drive. Carry 3 kids and freinds, sit higher, have plenty of goodies, good on fuel, looks, move along when it has too and a nice radio with bluetooth. Captiva 7 deisel has all of the above plus sat nav, sunroof, heated seats, cap servicing too 60k 10 months on my wife still talks about the car and even washers it..

Biggest heap of Crap to wear a Holden Badge. I sold a Corvette to fund our purchase...I want my money back! Holden can't continue to sell this kind of garbage for too much longer, if you are going to re-badge a GM car to sell in Australia, pack Holden up and start selling Chevies here.
