I bought my 2010 Epica when it was 1 year old and only 15,000 km on the clock for $15,000 from a Nissan dealer in 2011. $2,500 cheaper than my local Holden dealers best price. It came with towbar and electric trailer brakes, Holden floor mats and wind guards on all door windows. I travel 25,000 km per year and am averaging just under 7 lts per 100 km on the 6 cylinder petrol engine with the auto trans in a 50/50 mix of highway and suburb and I think that's fantastic. Luxurious large non leather seats ( they don't get red hot in the sun) in a large cabin with great cold aircon. I can't fault my steering as others have. More than enough power if you need it and will stop on a dime. Great safety features including side air bags . Not to mention blue tooth. I think Holden must have maxed out all the options with the safety gear to try and sell the last Epicas. I reckon I got a great car and a bargain and so far no problems. I compared the Epica against the Cruze and the Camry. Me and the wife are not big people but we couldn't sit back in the front seats properly in the Cruze ( to small ) and both these vehicles were revy through the gears to get up and go with very loud engine noise and both with terrible road noise. something I noticed the critics don't mention.
So if you are looking for an above average mid to large car with great safety features that is comfortable, smooth and punchy and can get it at a great price like I did, then try the Epica. Don't believe what all the critics say, test drive one for yourself and compare like I did.
Happy hunting and safe driving
