I've got LS 7 seater 3 months ago brand new, paid 47k on road. This is the Best car I've ever had. Drives very well, comfortable, easy to park, good fuel economy (for the size and mass) To my opinion this is terribly underrated vehicle. I was choosing between Toyota FJ Cruiser, Nissan Pathfinder and Jeep Wrangler unlimited. I did not even know that Challenger does exist. Pure accident that I've stumbled across Mitsubishi dillership. For the money, Challenger is Miles ahead of all contenders. And hey, its 5 years warranty. For anyone looking for that size of SUV or real 4x4, GO AND TEST DRIVE IT!!!

I bought my Challenger new in May 2011 . Its a manual / poverty pack ' , but I could'nt be happier . Its up to 8 thou ks now and I have taken it on 2 runs , 1 to coffs , car alone , and 1 to South West Rocks with a 1.2 t poptop van . I was worried about the fuel consumption so did not turn on the fuel consumption section in the centre dash display til haly way there and was totally surprised to see a reading of 13 lts per 100 ks . I thought it was wrong until I did the reurn trip 4 days later and got the same reading . Excellent . My father has a 100 series cruiser and thought he would pass me on the hills , we went in tandem . He never got close and I only dropped back to fourth on 4 hills between the Central coast and Kempsey . I was doing between 100 and 105 depending on the speed limit by the way . Its great to drive and good to drive . At the moment I can't fault it . I even convinced my now retired boss to buy one , I think he got an LS .They say its noisy cold or first up . I told my father about that and then we went and had a listen to his 05 diesel cruiser and it was noiseir even to him , so its not that bad . If you buy 1 I hopes its as good as mine . As the ad says /Love that car / and I do .

We needed a practical vehicle that can serve as everyday transport but is capable of some serious off road touring and a good towing capacity. The Challlenger 30 Anniversary Model ticked all the boxes for us. While it growls under low speed acceleration it is as quiet as whisper on the open road. In summary we like: The space The excellent sound system Comfortable seating, allowing easy 1000 km trips The very solid feel, on and off road Good clearance Unbeatable value for money. It offers everything a Prado offers at much lower price. Fuel consumption has gradually improved to 10 L / 100 Km on the open road with a heavy load. This is more than acceptable for a vehicle of this size and capabilities. What could be better (Some minor irritations) Fuel tank of 70 Litres is too small Drink holders (trivial but irritating) are too narrow Using the cruise control at low speed keeps hunting for the right gear especially on hills. At cruising speed this is not an issue. I am not surprised to see the sales figures gradually creeping as people realise that this is a real alternative to many of the much dearer alternatives on the market. it deserves much better sales.

We purchased our challenger for 2 reason's, one to take the Grand kid's for trips. The 2nd is for towing our caravan round tassie it's pretty hilly around here . The van weighs around 1900kg with all our gear the 2.5lt does it with ease @ average 15.5lts to the 100. Extremely happy with our choice of vehicle plus the safety of 6 air bags.
