The Magane is an average French car that has great styling but its engines do not equal that of the Golf. Sure the Golf 90TSI or 77TSI engines don't match the Magane for Kw on paper but the Magane's engine is about as flexible as a piece of concrete. It does'nt get its maximin power until you rev it up to 6000 and it does'nt get practically any torque until 3750 rpm. The Golf has a far more flexible engine, and because of its turbo technology engine it gets its maximin 90 kw at 5000 and its maximin torque of 200 nm (5 nm more than the Megane) at 1500 rpm. Therefore the Golf's engine feels like its got power all the time not just when you rev the guts ot of it. The Golf is also a bigger, more practical car and has German quaility. With the Golf you also get unlimited kilometre warrenty. You also have the choice of a brilliant 7-speed DSG transmission or the awsome 6-speed manual. The Golf is just overall a far better car, better handleing, better acceleration and far better fuel consumption. So what's better the Magane or Golf. I've looked closerly at both and the Golf comes out on top, easily.
